Catch Up Time..............

So, I get up every morning, thinking about blogging (yeah right, and home schooling, and excercising, and cleaning, and cooking, and laundry, and work) no, not work, I'm not thinking about that until I get there, then all I can think about is going home. It's not that I don't like the concept of work, I just don't like not being at home and working. Yep, I hate it. So all you stay at home mom's, enjoy it. Don't even think about rushing off to work, have fun being home, because one day, you might have to go to work. YUK. Though, some people might like it, just not me.

I'm off the subject.

What else is new??

This is why I don't blog every morning, or every day. I get easily side tracked. Maybe I have A.D.D.? I know it's not A.D.H.D. Hyper is not in my vocabulary, nor in my body. If anything, I'm so non hyper, I go backwards. Yes, it's true, ever since I was a youngster, my mother told me "I was slower than molassas". I have sped up a little bit since I have to keep up with so many children, but I'm just me, I don't like to rush. Anything.

My husband? He's the speed of light.
The Turkey.
Most of my children have inherited his speed of light crap too.

Most of them that is! There's about 3 that aren't.  This would be the youngest one. He didn't get the lightning gene.
We get along great!!

But if it's even possible, he might just be slower than I was. Not mentally, but when it comes to getting ready for anything, or just walking from the car into Wally World, he's got me beat.

Since September started, we have aquired 13 calves, soon to make it 15...

This is the chief calf feeder. He's a little sick of calves. We don't have hutches or any way to keep them apart, so we have to boot some of them out while we feed the others. Or else, they will be sucking the pants off you, literally!!

"What are you looking at? I'm just trying to eat here."
So enough of the calves. Tomorrow I'll show you a trick Fred the steer can do. It's pretty gross, but kind of wierd too.

We have been pulling our tractor in the Oley Fair.........................................

We started home schooling like 3 weeks ago................................................

There they are, working diligently (sp??) on their school work. Sometimes, I wonder how qualified I really am, but with Sonlight, it's pretty easy. Well, not "easy", it's alot of work, but it's nice to have something so researched already that I don't have to worry about History, and Science, and everything else in between. Since it's already thought out for me.
Nice.

We also make bugs out of our gummy snacks....................................

Just another 3 weeks in the Moyer household!!!

No, we aren't normal by any standards.

The bad part is, we don't even try!!

Tuesday morning lima beans.........

After sooooo much rain, I made the children in my life go out into the garden and pick lima beans. I would have done it, but I would have been in mud up to my knees, literally.

They would have had to haul me out of there with a tractor and I would have been so embarrassed!!

The lima beans are white on the inside. This caused my second youngest child to have a royal fit and call his grammy. He went on to tell me that they won't have any flavor, they are too old.

Okay, this is all well and good, but we need to eat, and really, butter and salt are a flavor right??

I do believe I will be freezing them, white or not!!

I need to leave now, I still have 14 loads of wash to hang out!!

Rainy Day Operation..

Today is overcast with a chance of meatballs. No I didn't say cloudy, I said overcast.

Just kidding. Meatballs?? Nah, but maybe chocolate covered almonds and hot fudge sundaes. Yes, that's better!! Now I'm hungry.
The children were playing "Operation". Not the normal one either. Shrek. You know, you can pull out his "toe jam", or his "ear wax", or my favorite, his "humongous fungus" for $500.00!!
They had a blast! Even Cheyenne got into it, and she got up at 3:30am to milk cows for the neighbor. Believe me it must not have been a pretty sight!
Jacob's doing a pretty good job.
Cole takes removing body parts from Shrek very seroiusly.
Carter's turn. I think he won.
 The little knuckle head.
Of course, he sits there and let's everyone know how he's going to win no matter what how hard they try. It's his psychological tactic. Don't laugh, it's pretty creepy to have this five yr. old sitting there putting hexes on you.
Now I'm leaving you to go find some ice cream and hot fudge.
No, I just remembered, the kids ate it all.
Okay, I'm going to find some choc. chips.

The Marshmallow Man

Here he is. The product of my children's imaginations.

Not only do they make marshmallow men, but they take pictures of them too.

On days like today, I need to be reminded that even though they make my blood pressure rise up to Heaven, they are still children.
No, they are my children and I love them.
Marshmallow men and all.

I'm trying, but being supermom just beyond me...

So every once in a while, I need to take a deep breath, and look at the lillies!! Take a good look because at the bottom of this post, there is a very disturbing picture. Trust me, it's something only a boy would think of. Well, I guess technically, he's a man. But who's technical around here??

Did you ever in your life feel like you have 89 things to do, and about 5 minutes to do it?? Of course you have.

My solution? Curl up in a ball with a piece of chocolate in your hand. Preferrably something with almonds in it. This works about 75% of the time. The other 25%, we're not going to talk about, it just ended badly.

Maybe that's why I have so much weight to lose?? I know it's not from those 8 children I produced. They had nothing to do with it at all.

So here I am with another month gone by, and no blogging taking place. Really, I didn't see this coming it just happens. The older I get, the faster life goes by. It sucks. Not life, the fastness.

Right now, I'm blogging, ordering my homeschool curriculum from Sonlight, checking the weather, and writing up my children's affidavits so I can get them notorized and handed in to the school by Aug. 1.

Please note: the weather check is for hanging out laundry. Yes, this weather is not ideal for my laundry schedule. It rains about every night, and if the children don't get the wash in on time, it gets washed again!! They've been pretty good, only one night has our laundry gotten washed again.

Is gotten a word?? Great. I'm wondering this as I'm ordering "Grammer Ace" for my son. Oh yeah, I'm qualified alright!!

Qualified to be commited to the funny farm that is. Wait a minute, I think I'm already there!!

20 Year olds.

That's all I have to say at this point. Maybe I'll be more intelligent tomorrow??
We'll see.
