2nd Day of Deer Camp:

My view from the couch. ........

One, two, three......

Ummm four.....

Six and seven.

You know what they're doing?

Watching a John Wayne movie.

Five minutes later.....

One and two...

Three and four.......

Five......holding the nail polish remover for his sister.

Six and seven.
The only thing changed is the position of the cell phones.

You guessed it.

It's raining.

Oh Deer!

How you doin?

The boys and I took our two dogs for a walk last Saturday.
Look who followed.

Soon it became evident we had to get off the road.

Thank God for neighbors fields adjoining ours.

Next on my blog list:
41 things you can do with a lead rope.

That's it. Run. You know you want to.

Meet Goat:

He's a deer.

He's a deer that's been bottle fed for way too long.

Goat thinks Quin is his mommy.

Or maybe daddy?

He demands his bottle and if you don't go get it, he will try to eat you!

Or my roses.

He can't reach this one. It's the only one left.

Hmmmm. I Well I did have nice roses.

Kind of ironic. The child who rescued the deer bought me the rose bush 2 years ago for Mothers Day.

He thought his little brother needed something to do.

Goat roams around freely. He sleeps in the woods or the fields so he's not a pet.

But it is nice to see him come around every day, twice a day.

He's so sweet.

Have a great day!

Love, me

Good Bye Summer

I will miss you forever.

And I will pray for nice weather.
For some of my favorite flowers are going away.
Some I'll have to replant another day.
Others will stay, though they have to make it through the long winter ahead.
And hopefully sleep nice and cozy in their winter beds.
Please don't be too harsh on me,
I'm not a very good poet as you can see.
But I do love all my flowers and I hate to see them go.....
To replace weeding and watering with shoveling snow.
Oh who am I kidding?
I don't shovel much snow anymore....
That's what I have 6 strapping boys for!
I hope you enjoyed my flowers,
I put in many,many hours,
Breaking my back, and digging up weeds.
In the end it's all worth it!
So in Spring I'll start all over again!

The Cows. Are OUT!!

Good morning.

The cows are out.
They broke the fence down again. The three little buttheads do that once in awhile.

These are the Good Cows. They just stay in and moo their fool heads off at the bad cows.

This is Cole trying to keep the good cows in while we try to chase the bad cows through the fence.
This particular cow LOVES everybody.

He wasn't supposed to go up the bank.

Add to the mix, Earl who thinks he's a cow dog and my three ring circus begins.

Wade kicked his shoes off in the middle of the chase cause his feet got all wet.

I think it's some kind of child conspiracy where children have to see how black their socks get before their mothers have heart attacks over the holey black things they take off their feet.

Sorry mister cow, I'll go take a shower.

It's all your fault, breaking out of the fence before 6 a.m.

I guess I looked really bad because when I turned on my laptop, it hissed and died.

Love, me

A Couple Of Things

I feel compelled to let you know that on this Sunday morning as I sit here in a complete work hangover I'm happy.

You wanted to know that right?

Oh come on you did.

Anyway here's what we've been up to this week.

These pictures may offend some.

Sorry in advance.

Nikki, this one's for you.

I'm not sure but I think this particular deer is getting a bit old to drink out of a bottle?

School work.

School work???

School wo.... Oh never mind.

Country junction.

That is all.
