Is Your Pork and Sauerkraut Ready??

If the counter part to the pork is not spelled right, I apologize. I really need to bring the dictionary into my computer room. Right  now, I'm just too lazy to go look up the right way to spell sauerkraut so I'm pretending I'm right.

Is it ready yet??

Mine will be on the table by 6:00 sharp.

Maybe.

There's a good possibility it will anyway.

When I say sauerkraut, I use the term loosely.

We really don't like it. Not any of us. But every year, I make them all have at least a little spoonful of it.

I don't care if it comes from a can, bagged, fresh, or frozen.

To us it's all gross anyway, but we try!!

I know it's a superstition, but really, ................oh crap, how do you spell superstition??

Now I HAVE to get the dictionary.

Hey, guess what? I spelled sauerkraut right!!!!!!!!!!!

I spelled superstition right also.

Go me!

You know the first word I read when I opened the dictionary??

Ranula which is a noun, and means; A cyst on the underside of the tongue caused by the obstruction of a salivary gland duct.

This is important because.., why, you ask??

Well it just so happens I forgot all about that word. You see, Laramie, when she was a baby had a ranula. She looked like a little lizard baby when she opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue.

We took her to King of Prussia to pediatric specialists, and they wanted to perform surgery when she hit the 8 month old mark.

What did I do??

I took her to old doc Robertson (the best doctor on the planet) and he looked at it, looked at me, and said, "You want me to pop it and see what happens?"

I said "Sure, why not?"

He did, she screamed, it bled, and guess what??

The darned thing went away. Without surgery!

Imagine.

I wish life were that easy, just pop the problem, and it goes away.

Kind of like an easy button.

But when you think about it, if life were so easy, why then would we even be here?

It's true, "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger."

So with that, welcome 2010.

I look forward to getting stronger.

And I  hope it doesn't kill me in the process.

Now, go forth and enjoy your pork and sauerkraut, you can always diet in the morning!!!!

Love always,
me
